FAQs
How long are the classes?
Classes last about an hour, but they may run longer since we can tailor topics to meet your needs. We can also cover educational topics through a series of meetings that include you and, if you like, your family members and caregivers.
Who teaches the classes?
Trained kidney care professionals teach these classes. They have plenty of experience and knowledge and are here to help answer all your kidney care and treatment questions.
How do I attend the classes?
You can take classes in person or virtually from the convenience of your home. You can also choose the class format that fits your needs — whether you meet one-on-one with a teacher or join a group class.
When you’re ready to register, call 1-833-617-2274 and we’ll get back to you to schedule.
What if there are no classes in my area?
We’re currently offering in-person and virtual appointments in Austin, TX, and the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. We’re working on adding more learning sessions in other areas, so if we’re not in your area yet, just look for us soon.

What technology will I need for the virtual class?
No special software is required. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer that’s connected to the Internet. We’ll email you or text you a link to join the virtual class. That’s it.
Is there a cost for the classes?
There’s no extra cost for you or your health plan to attend these courses.
Can my family member or caregiver attend the class?
Of course. It’s important to have a support system to help you manage chronic kidney disease and make treatment choices. So we welcome your family members, friends and caregivers to attend these classes at no extra cost.
